ur collaboration with the Pride Center was driven by the shared aspiration to design a banner that would serve as a prominent and unapologetic symbol of pride and representation within their space. The project was founded on the fusion of art and inclusivity, bringing together the creative work of @queerportraits, who masterfully crafted a collection of cartoon representations of significant queer figures from history. These figures were thoughtfully woven into a meticulously designed landscape, rendering a visual masterpiece that transcends mere aesthetics and carries profound symbolic weight.

The backdrop, adorned with shades of lavender, a universally recognized color within the LGBTQ+ community, serves as a canvas that symbolizes unity, inclusivity, and solidarity. Across this canvas, the iconic rainbow, an emblem of the LGBTQ+ movement, gracefully arcs, symbolizing the diverse spectrum of identities and experiences that it represents. The deliberate combination of these elements embodies a celebration of LGBTQ+ history, identity, and the ongoing journey towards acceptance and equality.

At the forefront of this banner, standing as a beacon of the Pride Center’s mission, is their logo. It serves as the focal point of the design, signifying the present-day presence and importance of spaces like the Pride Center. Surrounding the logo, we find the faces of the individuals whose pioneering contributions and sacrifices have paved the way for centers like these to exist. These figures, whose legacies continue to inspire and guide the LGBTQ+ community, are a testament to the enduring spirit of resilience, representation, and advocacy.
